In 1897 Karl Eisener manufactured the patented officers knife and Victorinox was founded. The knife ontained two extra tools from his original design. A small blade and a cork screw, along with the original blade, punch, screwdriver and can opener.

The knife was sold to the Swiss Army and the rest is history.
